I would like to thank my fellow UNF students (Patrick, Diego
and Mohammad) for lending me a hand with GIS Corner’s new website. Over the
last semester (Spring 2010) we’ve made a number of changes to the format, layout
and functionality of GIS Corner. I hope everyone enjoys the new layout and

If you’re aware of some job openings please share them on the forums or on our LinkedIn group. Also if you’re located in the Jacksonville, Florida area and looking to expand your GIS training, I would like to tell you about classes at University of North Florida (UNF). I’ve already completed ‘Intro to GIS’, and look to take ‘Intermediate GIS’, but they’ve been unable to offer it due to poor registration. The next availability would possibly be in fall 2010. Remember if you live in the Southeast U.S., you may want to attend the SERUG conference. In the past it was held in Jacksonville, Florida but this year it will be in Charlotte, North Carolina.

I would like to welcome everyone to the ‘new’ GIS Corner!
Over the past couple of months the future of GIS Corner has been up in the air.
At first there was a movement to take it to some “free” sites while I attended
college. Fortunately the stars aligned and I was able to renew with our hosting
company (A+ service). Then for the spring semester at the university I attend
we were given a web design project to complete. So the project began and here
we are now... revamping GIS Corner!
The forums site has already been modified; creating a main
page is the next step for our members. Please share any suggestions you might
have on the forums site under ‘General’.
